The Enoch Pratt Free Library has completed the renovation process of its Brooklyn Branch, and will reopen it during a special event scheduled for Monday, Jan. 12. Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott and Baltimore City Council District 10 Councilwoman Phylicia Porter will be in attendance at the ceremony, which will also feature plenty of fun, family-friendly activities.
The Brooklyn Branch of the library has been serving the Baltimore area for over a century, first opening in 1921 and being rebuilt in 1965. For many Baltimoreans, it’s an important hub of learning and community resources.
The library has been fully modernized with new furniture, paint, carpeting and a new HVAC system, with funding provided by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), administered by the Mayor’s Office of Recovery Programs…
