Protests persist after ICE killing; Cincinnati group assembles alert kits

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – Protests continue across the country after 37-year-old Renee Good was killed by an ICE agent earlier this week.

Cincinnati has remained relatively quiet compared with Minneapolis, but several hundred people gathered at the Downtown Main Library to assemble whistle kits.

Co-organizer Laila Shaikh said the event was planned in advance, but the shooting prompted many more people to attend over the course of seven hours. Shaikh said the whistles are intended to be blown if ICE is spotted in a neighborhood, alerting residents and business owners…
