One killed in south Columbus shooting, no charges filed

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — One person was killed late Saturday night in a shooting in south Columbus but no charges have been filed, according to police.

A report from Columbus police said officers were called to the 5900 block of South High Street just before 11 p.m. on reports of a shooting. An adult was found with a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital at 11:42 p.m. Police explained that its investigation revealed the victim and another adult got into an argument at a parking lot, during which the victim got shot.

Police said the other adult stayed at the scene after the shooting and cooperated with detectives. No charges have been filed as the case has been forwarded to the Franklin County prosecutor’s office…
