NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Middle Tennessee is gearing up for a chilly week ahead as winter temperatures make a comeback.
Sunday will give a taste of the cold air with temperatures barely reaching 40 degrees and wind chills lingering in the 30s. After a brief warm-up on Monday and Tuesday, temperatures are expected to drop significantly on Wednesday, January 14, and stay below average through the weekend.
There are two potential chances for winter weather in the region. The first is a clipper system from Canada, which could bring quick rain/snow showers with little to no accumulation. The second chance, about a week away, appears more promising for snow lovers, with a 20 to 30% chance of accumulating snow at this time.
