Richmond, Virginia – Gusty winds are set to become the main weather concern across central and eastern Virginia this afternoon and evening as colder air moves in behind a departing system.
According to the National Weather Service office in Wakefield, sustained winds will increase to 20 to 25 mph this afternoon, with gusts ranging from 30 to 35 mph and occasional gusts approaching 40 mph.
