After spending the past two years with one of Tennessee’s SEC rivals, a former junior-college transfer is now visiting the Vols this weekend. Florida running back transfer Ja’Kobi Jackson told GoVols247 that he arrived at Tennessee on Saturday night for an official visit with the Vols that’s set to run through Sunday.
The 5-foot-11, 214-pound Jackson played at Pensacola (Fla.) Catholic High School and Coahoma Community College in Clarksdale, Miss., before transferring to Florida going into the 2024 season. He was a senior for the Gators this season, but he announced last week that his waiver request for an extra season of eligibility has been approved.
“I’m officially eligible to compete in football for the 2026-27 academic year. Can’t wait to get back on the field! God is good,” Jackson wrote Jan. 2 in a post on his X account…
