Gov. Kathy Hochul has directed flags on all state government buildings to fly at half-staff on Saturday, Jan. 10, in honor of retired New York State Police Sergeant Michael L. Piro.
Piro died on Jan. 6 from an illness related to his assignment at the World Trade Center site following the 9/11 terrorist attack. He was 63.
