Nebraska’s defensive rebuild takes shape with final coaching move

After a very long wait, the Nebraska football team has finally finished putting together its new defensive coaching staff. The final piece of the puzzle comes in the form of defensive line coach Corey Brown.

Brown comes to the Huskers from Miami of Ohio, where he spent the last three years coaching a defensive line that anchored one of the best defenses in the MAC. Before coaching with the Red Hawks, he was on the same South Dakota staff as new NU defensive coordinator Rob Aurich.

Brown and Aurich’s defenses were among the best in the FCS and racked up plenty of sacks. Now, with a new defensive scheme coming to Nebraska, it’s clear that the Huskers’ DC wants some coaches who can teach the defensive line exactly what he’s looking for.
