LaHood stakes middle ground after deadly ICE shooting

PEORIA (25News Now) – U.S. Rep. Darin LaHood (R-Dunlap) wants a “thorough” investigation into the fatal shooting Wednesday of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis.

LaHood’s comments released to 25News come as a candlelight vigil was held Friday near Bradley University in Peoria to remember the 37-year-old woman.

LaHood did not condemn or approve of suspected shooter Jonathan Ross’ actions, nor did LaHood say whether he believes the FBI or local authorities should conduct the investigation…
