Legendary Nickelodeon music composer Guy Moon died at age 63 on Thursday, Jan. 8, in a traffic collision. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s report confirmed the crash took place in Los Angeles County, and Moon’s family confirmed his death in a heartfelt statement on Jan. 10.
“We are overcome with grief to announce the passing of our beloved patriarch, Guy Moon. He was killed on Thursday morning in a traffic collision,” the Moon family shared on his official Facebook page. “We feel singularly blessed to have been able to call him dad and husband.” Moon celebrated his 40th wedding anniversary with his wife on July 5, 2025
