A smoke shop owner was arrested after police say they uncovered a large display of illegal flavored vape products and THC items during a targeted investigation, authorities announced on Sunday, Jan. 11.
Chaitanya Sanapathi, 46, of Garden City, was taken into custody following an investigation at the Smoke Shop located at 774 Hempstead Turnpike, according to police.
Members of the Strategic Response Team conducted the operation within the Fifth Precinct at about 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, police said.
