The drive has been going strong for over a decade. Around five hundred coats were ready to go home with children ranging from elementary to high school.
Executive Director Courtney Johnson says slightly more coats were donated this year and tells us he is thankful as the need is bigger than ever.
“Yeah, that’s what we were excited about as well just to make sure we had enough coats. But we knew the temperature was going to drop again, but this is just something that, you know, we really look forward to and just to see kids with no coats, that’s not something that we want to see,” says Johnson…
