A man was killed and multiple people were injured in a fog-related crash Sunday morning involving as many as 17 vehicles on Highway 99 in Fresno County.
California Highway Patrol spokesperson Mike Salas said the collisions occurred at 9:15 a.m. on southbound Highway 99 between North and Cedar avenues. The crash involved numerous vehicles, including a semi-truck.
Salas said the incident began when thick fog reduced visibility to just 10 to 15 feet, prompting two vehicles in the No. 1 and 2 lanes to slow down.
