GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The effects of tariffs are rippling through every industry and hobby under the sun — even some under the sea. One local business is trying to keep people on the line despite the sunk costs of aquarium keeping.
At Water Colors Aquarium Gallery in Downtown Grand Rapids, many of the things you’ll see —from the fish to the tanks they’re in — are imported. Because of the price hikes on imported goods, their business and customers are feeling it.
“Prices have gone up significantly,” said owner Ben VanDinther.
