In a late-night incident that unfolded in Antioch, the Antioch Police Department reported a shooting that left a 29-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his neck. According to the Antioch Police Department, officers were called to the scene in the 600 block of Wilbur Avenue on Thursday at 10:46 PM.
When the officers arrived, they found the wounded man and immediately administered medical aid, using their training to attend to the victim. The victim, whose condition has been stated as non-life-threatening, was then taken to a local hospital by the Contra Costa Fire Protection District personnel after they arrived on the scene, providing critical care to the victim, who they found lying on the ground with the injury.
