VERO BEACH — Jazz lovers on the Treasure Coast will have a rare opportunity to experience one of the nation’s most celebrated collegiate jazz ensembles when the Flying Horse Big Band takes the stage at the Performing Arts Center at Vero Beach High School on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 6:30 p.m.
Presented by the Treasure Coast Jazz Society, the concert will showcase the acclaimed big band from the University of Central Florida’s Music Department, a group that has earned an international reputation for musical excellence, precision, and innovation. The Flying Horse Big Band has performed at major jazz festivals across the United States and abroad, including appearances in Montreux, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, placing the ensemble among the premier university jazz orchestras in the world.
