TOLEDO, Ohio — Tim Haase, a longtime local cook and avid cyclist, was honored on Sunday when community members installed a ghost bike memorial near the site where he was killed.
Dozens of friends, family members and fellow cyclists met at the intersection of Summit Street and 131st Street around 1 p.m. to place the white bicycle, a symbol used nationwide to memorialize cyclists who have died and to remind drivers to remain alert.
