GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Allegiant Airlines announced Sunday that it has acquired budget carrier Sun Country for $1.5 billion in cash and stock.
Both airlines have a big presence at Appleton International Airport and the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport.
The companies say that Minneapolis will continue to be an anchor city for them. They have not said how the merger will affect flights out of Appleton, but they have announced that no changes are planned for current routes…
