Well above average temperatures return into next week as we stay dry

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) – Good evening. Temperatures varied quite a bit today from cold to the northeast to mild in the southwest. Snow showers also moved in across northern Nebraska and will continue to move south, but dissipate into the evening. Some flurries will be possible across central Nebraska through the evening. Temperatures will warm up into next week before a cooldown to finish the week.

Tonight/Tomorrow: Skies will clear out tonight as temperatures fall into the upper teens to low 20’s. Some flurries or snow showers will be possible early, mainly across central Nebraska. Temperatures warm up tomorrow afternoon, with the warmer temperatures to the west. Highs around 57 degrees in the North Platte area, 50 to 54 degrees in the Tri-Cities, and 45 for a high in Lincoln. Winds will be breezy at times tomorrow afternoon, but plenty of sunshine should make for a beautiful day.

Monday Through Wednesday: Temperatures warm even more Monday into the low 60’s across the western half of Nebraska, staying in the mid to upper 50’s across eastern Nebraska. Winds will be lighter around 5 to 15 mph with plenty of sunshine once again. Cloud cover builds into Tuesday as temperatures stay warm in the low 60’s for much of the area. Winds pick up as well and stay breezy through Wednesday. A cold front moving through Tuesday night will bring cooler temperatures Wednesday. Highs in the upper 30’s to low 40’s are likely. Along the cold front there’s an outside chance of some rain or snow showers, but widespread precipitation is not expected…
