Krewe of Choctaw dazzles with Hollywood glamour at celebration

The Krewe of Choctaw recently transformed Copeland Towers’ ballroom in Metairie into its Sacred Tribal Grounds of Mighty Chief Choctaw as he presented his traditional tableau in celebration of the krewe‘s 91st anniversary and 42nd annual Pow-Wow, representing “Choctaw Sparkles in Timeless Hollywood Glamour.”

Reigning as Princess Choctaw 2026 was Mrs. Toni A. Sisung. Her majesty’s gown of royal blue Dupioni silk was trimmed with silver crystals and inlays. She wore the traditional Choctaw feathered headdress to match.

Maids displaying the theme were Misses Blair Therese Winter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Winter, representing “My Fair Lady;” Josie Lind Posey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Travis Posey, representing Scarlett O’Hara; and Londyn Juliet Lee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lance Lee, representing “Casablanca.”…
