Former figure skating legends rave about St. Louis as championships wrap up

ST. LOUIS — Former professional figure skaters are raving about St. Louis as the 2026 U.S. Figure Skating Championships at Enterprise Center wrap up.

“I have to tell you this is the first since before COVID that a national championship has had a full house,” said Former Olympic figure skater Carl Heiss. “(The crowd) knows skating. They encourage the skaters when they aren’t doing that well, and they appreciate all the wonderful things the skaters have done.”

Olympic gold medalist Scott Hamilton joined Heiss in a panel on Sunday to break down how the week went. Hamilton said he’s been to St. Louis before to skate and loves it every time…
