SEDGWICK COUNTY —A man is going to prison for the murder of his mother at her Kansas home in 2023.
On Friday, Judge Jeffrey Goering sentenced 24-year-old Devin Joel to life in prison without the possibility of parole for 25 years, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s office.
Last year, Joel pleaded guilty to first degree murder, kidnapping and robbery in the 2023 murder.
