Tucson Scooters and Bikes Power Community Change

Lime riders in Tucson can now help transform their streets into vibrant public places with every trip through a new Lime Hero partnership supporting Living Streets Alliance (LSA). Lime’s new Lime Hero partnership with LSA will allow riders to opt in to round up the cost of their trips, with the difference donated to LSA’s advocacy, programming, and street transformation services, that bring people together and provide safe, accessible, and attractive transportation options. Lime will use social media and email messaging to let its riders know about the opportunity to support the organization.

“Living Streets Alliance and Lime share a vision for more vibrant, safer streets, more sustainable mobility options, and an inclusive future for two-wheeled transportation across Tucson. We’ve partnered before, and we’re excited to formalize that collaboration through Lime Hero. Transportation remains one of the most visible and actionable sources of climate pollution in Tucson, contributing significantly to community-wide emissions. Shifting even a small share of short car trips to walking, biking, transit, or scooting is a powerful opportunity to cut emissions while improving public health. This new formal partnership empowers riders to support healthier, more connected communities with every trip,” said Vanessa Cascio, Executive Director of Living Streets Alliance.

“At Lime we are committed to giving back to the communities we serve, and our Lime Hero program helps us and our riders do so in a meaningful way. We’re proud to partner with Living Streets Alliance, uplifting their biannual Cyclovia open streets event and supporting their efforts to create safer streets, expand access to sustainable transportation, and build vibrant neighborhoods where people feel confident riding, rolling, waking and more, every day,” said Monica DiLullo, Senior Regional Lead, Government Relations at Lime.

This new Lime Hero partnership in Tucson is just the latest launch of Lime’s global roundup donation program, which is now live in markets across 10+ countries including: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, South Korea, Sweden, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Austria. Through partnerships with more than 65 organizations in more than 90 cities, riders who become Lime Heroes help to improve their communities with every ride they take. More than 175,000 Lime Hero riders have already helped to raise nearly $1 million globally for non-profit organizations addressing clean-air, safe streets, youth and community programming, services for the unhoused and more…
