Troy, NY (WRGB) — Troy officials are reporting a significant decrease in crime across the city in 2025, citing proactive policing strategies, community partnerships, and targeted public safety investments.

Mayor Carmella R. Mantello announced the city’s year-end crime statistics alongside Troy Police Chief Dan DeWolf, highlighting notable reductions in violent crime, property crime, and gun-related incidents compared to both 2024 and the city’s five-year average.

According to the 2025 year-end report, violent crime in Troy decreased by 23% compared to 2024 and 27% compared to the five-year average.
