Man firing handgun in Lake Isabella killed by deputies: Kern County Sheriff’s Office

LAKE ISABELLA, Calif. (KGET) — A man reported to be firing a gun in Lake Isabella was shot and killed by Kern County deputies early Sunday morning, officials said.

Deputies were called to the area of Kilbreth and Lake Isabella avenues for reports of someone firing a handgun at around 1:40 a.m.

Residents said they heard the commotion.

“It was between 9 and 10 last night and I heard the sirens going,” Bodfish resident Don Stokes said. “I thought ‘Wow,’ everything was real quiet and then the sirens.”…
