Steele Creek power outage leaves almost 3k customers in the dark

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Almost 3,000 Duke Energy customers were left without electricity on Sunday morning in Charlotte’s Steele Creek neighborhood.

The outage was first reported shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 11, and affected about 2,854 people. Duke Energy crews anticipated power would be restored by 2:45 p.m.
