In what has been a big weekend for Kentucky athletics, the transfer portal just keeps rolling. Head coach Will Stein has picked up a commitment from former Marshall QB JacQai Long, he announced Sunday via Twitter.
Long, a freshman quarterback from West Virginia, will arrive in Lexington with three years of eligibility remaining. He is the Wildcats’ second addition to the QB room during the transfer portal cycle, joining Notre Dame’s Kenny Minchey.
The 6-2, 205-pound Long spent two seasons with the Thundering Herd. He spent the 2024 season as a redshirt and saw limited playing time this past season. He wrapped up the 2025 season appearing in five games and totaling 31 passing yards…
