Lubbock authorities say 3 dead, including shooter, after gunfire in Slaton

Lubbock’s Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit is investigating a shooting that left three people dead and two critically injured late Sunday in Slaton.

Lubbock County Sheriff’s deputies responded to assist the Slaton Police Department who received a 911 call about 10:50 p.m. reporting multiple gunshot victims in the 300 block of East Floyd Street, according to a statement from the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office.

First responders located three people with fatal gunshot wounds. Officers also located two additional people in critical condition, each with gunshot wounds. The two injured people were taken to a local hospital by EMS and have since been stabilized…
