On Jan. 10, 2025, at 11:17 a.m., deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a reported armed robbery at a convenience store in the 26600 block of FM 1485 in New Caney. While units were en route, Montgomery County dispatchers advised deputies of another robbery that had occurred in Liberty County on FM 1010 near Colony Ridge.
Deputies were provided a detailed description of the suspects and their vehicle. An MCSO deputy located a vehicle matching that description and attempted a traffic stop. The suspects failed to stop, and a brief pursuit followed. The vehicle crashed on Manion Drive, and the suspects fled on foot into a wooded area.
Liberty County deputies, who were familiar with the suspects and had been investigating several vehicles connected to previous robberies, later spotted a vehicle associated with those incidents near the area.
Liberty County units stopped the vehicle in Cleveland and located two males whose clothing matched the description of the suspects involved in the FM 1485 robbery. Evidence collected at the scene and witness statements subsequently linked both suspects to the robbery…
