Man Taken Into Custody At Webster Restaurant

A Desloge man was charged with resisting arrest when police approached him for outstanding warrants at a Webster Groves establishment.

Alex Sikes, 23, of the 400 block of South Vandervoot Street in Desloge, was charged Dec. 19 with a felony for resisting arrest when Webster Groves police officers attempted to arrest him on multiple active felony warrants. Police received a tip that he was at Hotshots Sports Bar and Grill on Laclede Station Road in Webster, according to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. He remains jailed on $50,000 bond.

When police approached Sikes, he gave a false name. He then offered to show police his ID, but then attempted to run. Sikes was tackled and continued resisting officers. He was only able to be taken into custody after officers deployed a taser, according to court documents…
