One Person Injured in Three-Car Crash South of Riggins

Idaho State Police are investigating a three-vehicle collision that occurred yesterday (Sun) afternoon at about 12:20 on U.S. Highway 95 near milepost 185 in the northbound lane, south of Riggins.

According to a news release, a 77-year-old man, from Riggins was traveling northbound on the highway in a 2007 Cadillac DTS when he was coming to a stop in the roadway. A multi-vehicle rear end crash occurred involving a 39-year-old woman from Meridian, Idaho, driving a 2019 Jeep Compass and a 42-year-old man from Riggins driving a 2008 Toyota Tundra.

Seatbelts were worn by the drivers of the Jeep and the Cadillac. The driver of the Toyota was not wearing his seatbelt. A passenger in the Jeep was transported by ground ambulance for injuries sustained in the crash. The roadway was blocked for about two hours…
