ROCHESTER, N.Y. — As jury selection was about to begin in a federal court civil trial some five and a half years in the making, a settlement was announced by lawyers for Buffalo community activist Myles Carter and those representing the City of Buffalo and the State of New York.
The lawsuit stemmed from Carter’s arrest during a protest against police misconduct in the summer of 2020.
