Quiet start to week gives way to snow, plunging temperatures in Northeast Ohio

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Northeast Ohio will get a brief taste of quieter, milder weather early this week before a sharp turn toward snow, wind and much colder air beginning Wednesday.

High pressure will keep conditions relatively calm Monday, with a mix of clouds and some breaks of sun. Afternoon highs are expected to reach the mid to upper 30s, which are close to seasonal levels.

A brief warmup arrives Tuesday as a warm front lifts through the region. Temperatures are forecast to climb into the 40s, but the milder air will come with breezy conditions.
