An Orange County family has thermal drone technology to thank for the safe return of their lost dog, which ran off during a windstorm Friday and spent the night in a canyon.
Mission Viejo Animal Services responded to Dove Canyon after a resident reported that strong winds had startled their dog, causing it to flee into the canyon area between Dove Canyon and Coto de Caza, officials said Monday.
