18-year-old flown to hospital following vehicle crash in Ohio

OHIO — An 18-year-old woman was airlifted to a hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Darke County early Monday morning, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:12 a.m. at the intersection of State Route 49 and Red River–West Grove Road. Authorities said Allyson Waymire, 18, of Englewood, was driving a Hyundai Sonata northwest on State Route 49 at the time of the collision.

Investigators reported that the other vehicle, a Lexus driven by Christopher Wilkins, 44, of Laura, was stopped at a stop sign before entering the intersection. Wilkins pulled out into the intersection, where the crash occurred, according to a sheriff’s office spokesperson…
