Erie School District could review configurations, consider more high schools

An Erie School Board member has suggested revisiting the 2017 decision that turned East and Strong Vincent high schools into middle schools and created the combined Erie High School.

“I’d just like to know if the board is comfortable with where we are,” School Director John Harkins said at the group’s Jan. 7 committee of the whole meeting.

Other school directors in general seemed to lean toward supporting a review of the district’s current school configurations although some didn’t agree with specifically looking at returning East and Strong Vincent to high school status.
