BOC won’t move forward with Sheriff’s Office forensic audit

Clayton County won’t be conducting a forensic audit of the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office.

In its Tuesday, Jan. 6 meeting, a proposal for a forensic audit into the Sheriff’s Office’s Truist and Ameris Bank accounts failed to pass.

The vote was 2-2-1 with Alieka Anderson-Henry and Gail Hambrick voting for, DeMont Davis and Alaina Reaves voting against and Tashé Allen (the wife of Sheriff Levon Allen) abstaining…
