LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A local police department is highlighting how a community rallied around to help a man who didn’t have a place of his own.
The man was in a wheelchair at the nearby Lowe’s, asking others for money to pay for a room at a nearby hotel when Officer Jason Skiles with the East Hempfield Township Police Department in Lancaster County met him, a post on social media reads.
Skiles wasn’t there to tell the man to leave, but rather, he wanted to get to know him, according to the post…
