Memphis Man Sentenced to 18 Years for Stealing Jewelry From Residents at MS Senior Living Facility

OLIVE BRANCH — A Memphis man has been convicted and sentenced in DeSoto County for stealing jewelry from elderly residents at an Olive Branch senior living facility, according to the DeSoto County District Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors said Allen Williams, 65, exploited his position as a custodian at Silvercreek Senior Living Community to steal items from more than a dozen residents. The stolen property included wedding rings and other jewelry described by officials as having significant sentimental value.

Authorities said some of the items were later pawned in Memphis, while other pieces were never recovered…
