Rochester, N.Y. — A teen is now awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty Monday to first-degree manslaughter in connection with a deadly shooting on the city’s southwest side.
Devin Barstow, 18, of Greece was shot several times by Ramell Griffin, now 17, during an altercation in the parking lot behind Rochester’s Charles T. Lunsford School No. 19 on Seward Street the night of Oct. 7, 2024, according to the Rochester Police Department. Barstow was found a short time later on the porch of a vacant home nearby on Flint Street and died at the scene.
