SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Hospitals across Central New York are still struggling to fill nursing positions as the nationwide shortage continues — including St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.
“It reflects an aging population, less nurses choosing the profession, we did acquire a lot of burnout during the pandemic,” said Dr. Julie Moore, DNP, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, CCRN, Chief Nursing Officer at St. Joseph’s Health.
