LAFAYETTE, La. (NEWS 15) — A worker at the Lafayette City Marshal’s Office was arrested after an investigation that was prompted by an internal audit that uncovered discrepancies in the agency’s financial accounts, officials confirmed.
They stated Jacqueline Welsh, 55, was arrested for embezzlement. Jail documents show she is charged with theft and identity theft. Bond has not been set.
