Cheney to open historic train depot after community-based restoration

The Inland Northwest will not lose a one-of-its-kind train depot.

Dairy and miles of wheat farming were at the backbone of Depot Springs in the 1880s, and the railroad breathed life into those industries. Depot Springs later changed its name to Cheney.
