NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A 31-year-old man is facing multiple charges after law enforcement discovered a handgun during a routine traffic stop on Saturday.
Around 3:15 p.m., officers with the North Charleston Police Department stopped a car along Rivers Avenue near Interstate 526 for dark window tint, according to law enforcement. During the stop, the driver, Gregory Aziz-Abdul Richardson, admitted to having a suspended license.
Through a check of records, officers found that Richardson was a “habitual traffic offender.” A search of the car led to police allegedly finding a handgun, which Richardson, who has two prior felony convictions, is prohibited from possessing…
