Middle schoolers leave screens behind, embark on tech-free week at Charlottesville school

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – One Charlottesville school is returning from its winter break by taking a step away from screens.

Saint Anne’s-Belfield is in the midst of its weeklong screen-free challenge, also known as “Jump Into January,” which began in the middle of last week.

Middle school students, who are already unable to use cell phones during the school day, said goodbye to laptops on Wednesday, January 7, while teachers are abandoning all technology in instruction except for projectors…
