GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WNEM) – Hearings have begun in a lawsuit more than five years after the Edenville Dam failure.
Monday, Jan. 12 was the first court date for the suit that claims Michigan bears at least some responsibility for the failure. The lawsuit alleges the state ignored warnings about what could happen if the water in Wixom Lake rose too high.
The failure destroyed 2,500 homes and caused hundreds of millions of dollars in damages…
