Judge dismisses criminal case against Los Angeles TikToker shot and wounded by ICE agents

A federal judge has dismissed the criminal case against Carlitos Ricardo Parias, a Los Angeles-based TikToker who was shot and wounded by ICE agents during an arrest attempt in 2025.

Knewz.com has learned that the ruling, issued just days before the case was set to go to trial, sharply criticized federal authorities for violating Parias’ constitutional right to legal counsel and for repeated delays in turning over evidence.

It has been pointed out, however, that while the dismissal ends the criminal prosecution, it does not resolve Parias’ ongoing immigration case, leaving him potentially subject to continued ICE detention.
