Woman tries to burn restaurant down during vigil for woman killed in New Year’s Eve hit-and-run, affidavit say

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A woman was arrested for allegedly attempting to burn several things outside of a Nashville restaurant, including part of a vigil for a woman who was killed in a hit-and-run on New Year’s Eve.

The vigil was held Saturday for 23-year-old Afriye Seegars, who went by “Smooth Sexton,“ while performing in drag.

According to an affidavit, on Saturday, Jan. 10, witnesses said the woman, 41-year-old Cristy Parks, was pacing in the parking lot and trying to set multiple things on fire outside Peckers Bar and Grill at 237 Hermitage Avenue…
