Dulles flight bound for Alabama makes emergency landing after engine issues post-takeoff

DULLES, Va. (7News) — A regional United Airlines flight bound for Mobile, Alabama, made an emergency landing shortly after taking off from Dulles International Airport after an engine malfunction, according to officials.

Flight 4295, a United Express flight operated by CommuteAir and bound for Mobile Regional Airport, returned to Dulles at around 6:45 p.m., according to CommuteAir officials and FlightAware data.
