Rhode Island man accused of drug distribution in Massachusetts sentenced to prison after 6 kilos of meth pills seized

BOSTON – A Rhode Island man was sentenced on Jan. 7, 2026 in federal court in Boston for drug possession and distribution charges.

According to a release from the Massachusetts Department of Justice, 39-year-old Star Sirikhom of R.I., was sentenced by U.S. Senior District Court Judge William Young to two years in prison, to be followed by five years of supervised release. In September 2025, Sirikhom pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine and one count of possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. The defendant was indicted by a federal grand jury in July 2022 along with five alleged co-conspirators.

In 2019, an investigation began into a Colombia-based money laundering organization that was laundering drug proceeds on behalf of multiple drug trafficking organizations. During surveillance of a residence identified as a possible drug stash location, multiple people were observed entering the location with weighted bags or boxes and exiting with large trash bags, weighted bags, and five-gallon buckets which were placed in vehicles before departing the residence…
